Another take on a classic 64 battle map with 8’s anti-grav features! Unlike Block Fort where I simply doubled the maps playable space and twisted some bridges, this map might have shrunk. The full torus is available for combat, but the lack of walls makes a rogue shell that much more dangerous. Further more, the 8 booster ramps open up the center sky —- for anyone willing to risk jets of lava and icy debris.
Lazy render! Didn’t even start working on it until yesterday morning…
Anyway, I’ve got my next few renders planned out —- and I’ll likely end up doing the August ones in advance due to plans which I might explain later.
As far as gaming goes… still wading through Senran Kagura Burst, beating Hanzo story mode / frantic moding with Hibari. Somehow made no progress on Pikmin 3 and Donkey Kong this week (instead, finally got to play Gravitee Wars Online with a friend and learned how to play Irisu Syndrome —- which will probably result in a render within the next month.)
And here’s the last of my planned renders using this base! If Mario Kart 8 is to ever get battle mode DLC, I hope that Block Fort is revived.
As you can see, I’ve given everything a glassy look, twisted the bridges, and wrapped the walls downward. What isn’t easy to see though is… the underside and center; the field is now donut-shaped with the center and sides linking to a mirrored battleground below. —- To make things even more interesting, the tops of each colored fort feature a warp to their inverse counterparts.
Anyway… thanks to various deals, I now have Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, and Senran Kagura Burst to play… so I might be a bit lazier with my 3D over the next few weeks.
Random stuff post!
A friend of mine from anime club took Kit hostage. He let me know by means of a cellphone pic. I of course went to rescue him… after getting a higher quality photo of my own.
The latter pic simply because I didn’t have any recent close-up photos of Kit. Fuwa Fuwa, Nameless, and Rafiki (Dat-ass) included as they are pretty much inseparable.
And anime/manga purchase post! <3 RightStuf!
Got Shiki a few weeks ago (wanted it for a while, but the change to S.A.V.E edition pushed me over the edge~). Just realized yesterday that the S.A.V.E. info comes off, revealing the original Natsuno image.
Genshiken 2 showed up at the same time! Again, it was cheap and (like the omnibus) heavily features Ogiue… I had to get it.
And then… Sword Art Online! I intended to just get the novels, the manga was a bit of a mistake (not very well defined on the order page) —- but I won’t complain, again gotten at a discount and it’s at least interesting to see. (If the DVD / Blu-Ray ever are sold at reasonable prices, I’ll get those. I was willing to spend more… but not 4x more)
And lastly, my current collection in full. The Indiana Jones and random Pokemon were gifts from my mom. (Not for any particular occasion, hopefully I don’t inherit her random spending habits~ Crap.)
Random food post.
Top 3 from Worker Appreciation Day at NICO.
Last 2 just from a trip to TCBY.
This week’s been pretty good! Passport, Sword Art Online (Light Novel) Volume 1, and BluRay player (for my mom) arrived on Thursday. Got to watch the three new Korra episodes and some Welcome to the NHK with friends Friday night (as well as some “surprisingly human” Animal Planet shows about rich people’s pools/tree-houses). Finally slept, finished 3D early, and saw my mom giddy over the idea of youtube on her TV on Saturday!
As for the render, not too much new content but… as I said last post, I still have plans for at least one more render with these assets! Though, this next one will have some new content!
This past week, I watched E3 streams pretty much every waking hour. The first day wasn’t bad but, nothing really seemed special, especially considering all the non-gameplay trailers… but Nintendo’s event changed that!
I wasn’t expecting much due to previous years E3’s and some past Nintendo Directs, but they really seemed to go all out this year. Entertaining skits, tons of gameplay, and best of all… cute squid girls! (and guys, I guess… Oh, also new Smash Bros demo! I went both days!)
I had a different render planned for this week. It was supposed to be nice, simple, and geometric… but, after Nintendo’s stream, I just had to model that squid girl. So it’s kind of a rush job… but I now have a squid girl to do with what I want!
My friend Prof. Z gave me one of his 2 Tomodachi Life move in codes!
So, I had some fun with a newly created Mii! Kit! Looks just like him, doesn’t it?
It’s not my best render… but I put a lot of time in to it. I experimented a lot with texturing the bricks / rain, kind of forgetting to mess with Belle and her umbrella until about 1AM.
Anyway… still playing Mario Kart 8! Keep a look out for picano online (or friend me! Be sure to note who you are!) Also still trying to finish Yoshi’s New Island —- it’s quite difficult… haven’t even 100%ed half of it yet. Oh and Gravitee Wars… I need to get back to that. x.x;;
So… I’ve gotten two co-workers hooked on Gravitee Wars Online! One is quickly catching up to me. o.o
Anyway… not to much else to say but hope you enjoy and PLAY WITH ME! (Do note it is still in beta and is a bit glitchy, but it’s getting better every day!)
