Why so late you ask? I’ve been at the jQuery conference in Chicago since Thursday night! I managed to make some progress before hand, but I only got in late last night. (Fortunately? The flight was originally delayed due to an oil leak and later the flight crew said they took off without an auxillary power something so…) Anyway, it’s been a while since I’ve done a bomber render so… enjoy!
Don’t pin all your hopes and your dreams on somebody else’s lives.
You are standing here as true as you were born on this earth.
SOUTH ERN CROSS
internet classix plz watch
It’s been what, nearly 10 years since this was made and I’m still waiting for an anime
I don’t usually reblog but…
Damnit, you’re not getting the full experience from this post! Please go watch the full video + secret ending AND sequel on the artist’s official site!
And just for good measure…
This week’s renders weren’t particular work intensive, hell I re-used my Irisu model only adding the bat and straight up reused the background Prof. Z made me last week. That said, I did these first for 3DS —- I wanted a good 3DS 3D Irisu to show off in person —- and later as a wallpaper; the 3DS versions are meant to be more game like, including HUD elements, while the wallpaper versions lack them but had more post-render touch-up work.
For 3DS 3D, scan the QR codes with your 3Ds (L+R from home menu)!
Anyway, next weekend I’ll be at the jQuery convention in Chicago so… I may or may not post on time but hope to do so —- I just caught back up with this double render after all.
So, got back from vacation in Japan last weekend! Didn’t post then because I was tired as hell (sleep schedule is still whack) and didn’t exactly have new content to post.
Anyway, lots of Japan, general anime/manga, and food stuff I might post here a bit later but… how about that 3D? Although I did “Hyper Deck” in advance, I’m still a week behind… (forgot my 3 prong adapter / didn’t find any native 3 prongs in Japan until the end of the trip!)
So, without further delay… here’s Irisu (from Irisu Syndrome)! She’s my first model to use real eye lids / lashes instead of just a texture. As for the background, I knew I wouldn’t have time for anything complicated… so I enlisted the help of Prof. Z to come up with a custom set of suicidal cat images.
Also, since it’s usually frowned to take photos of people in arcades in Japan… more so if it’s a random guy taking a photo of a cute school girl playing DDR… I drew the above catgirl playing DDR~
Knock yourself out, there’s plenty to choose from.
I actually find this information REALLY HELPFUL when I visit someone else’s gallery and like their OCs. Not everyone is comfortable with fanart and few artists post whether or not they are.
My mom decided to randomly treat papersak and I to Sushi this past week. Not to mention the fancy decor~
Here it is! The final normal battle map from Mario Kart 64! Yeah… it wasn’t that memorable then and not that interesting now.
Anyway, I’ll be out for the next couple weeks so… no updates next week and probably not the week after. But, I finished at least 1 render in advance! Hyper Deck has almost the same layout as the original but twice the surface area; using the split-core center, it’s possible to access the underside! Ah, if Nintendo would add real battle maps to Mario Kart 8…
Oh, also an added bonus on pixiv —- Hyper Deck animated!!
Luigi arrived the other day! Well, 2nd Luigi ~ Ear of Nintendo one afterall~
Just some initial pics, probably have more fun with him later.
Pretty uneventful week~ Slowly making progress on the Hebijo half of Senran Kagura, made even slower progress on Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze with my friend this weekend (I admit, we suck. The game has driven that point home), and have been working on multiple 3Ds at once to prepare for a 2 week gap! More on that later…
Another take on a classic 64 battle map with 8’s anti-grav features! Unlike Block Fort where I simply doubled the maps playable space and twisted some bridges, this map might have shrunk. The full torus is available for combat, but the lack of walls makes a rogue shell that much more dangerous. Further more, the 8 booster ramps open up the center sky —- for anyone willing to risk jets of lava and icy debris.
Lazy render! Didn’t even start working on it until yesterday morning…
Anyway, I’ve got my next few renders planned out —- and I’ll likely end up doing the August ones in advance due to plans which I might explain later.
As far as gaming goes… still wading through Senran Kagura Burst, beating Hanzo story mode / frantic moding with Hibari. Somehow made no progress on Pikmin 3 and Donkey Kong this week (instead, finally got to play Gravitee Wars Online with a friend and learned how to play Irisu Syndrome —- which will probably result in a render within the next month.)
And here’s the last of my planned renders using this base! If Mario Kart 8 is to ever get battle mode DLC, I hope that Block Fort is revived.
As you can see, I’ve given everything a glassy look, twisted the bridges, and wrapped the walls downward. What isn’t easy to see though is… the underside and center; the field is now donut-shaped with the center and sides linking to a mirrored battleground below. —- To make things even more interesting, the tops of each colored fort feature a warp to their inverse counterparts.
Anyway… thanks to various deals, I now have Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, and Senran Kagura Burst to play… so I might be a bit lazier with my 3D over the next few weeks.
