meenahpreshuspeixes asked: You named your Webkinz raccoon Kit? I named mine Kip! Ahahaha that's so cute!
Heh, cool! My friend sent Kit my way when I was starting college; she said he looked just like my pet smokie from Ragnarok Online —- and I had to agree.
And far before that, the former owner of the name Kitaro was my server bot back in Subspace/Continuum. That’s practically half a lifetime ago. o.O
… *flees from feels*
And it’s awesome! Far better than I can draw / render my own character.
Maybe I should just get you to do all my textures… I mean… thank you! ^_^
Up first, my Valentine’s Day gift to my fiancée papersak! A render of DDR’s Alice and Zero titled “Dot Dot Dot”.
Below it, my method of gifting —- QR code held by Bomberman. It’s 3DS 3D enabled, give it a try!
Finally got my copy of Bravely Default! Of course I had to have Kit pose with it…
Not entirely sure why that 3rd pic uploads as rotated, that’s not how it was taken nor how it appears on my computer.
Just some fun with Kit and a couple of my friend’s nendoroids during anime club.
Just a quick model / render, started really late in the week this time around.
I got my mom to watch some [C]-Control so… I thought it would be fun to model some part of the city —- and this was what I could do with just a couple hours. Well, the modelling actually only took a few minutes… I spent most of the time making a good texture node to mimic the pattern used throughout the city —- I might want to make some more places from the financial district later…
Lazy render this week! Not a single new 3D asset! Though, I did re-work my old stuffed-bomb fur texture to work in cycles.
Anyway… Bomber people are ridiculously small, even compared to a 5’ catgirl. (Not entirely sure of her actual height… it’s changed a bit between V1 and V4D of her model)
Oh, nearly forgot! Previewed this to papersak, she reminded me “tag your porn”.
Anyway, now with an easily re-textured lego minifig model on hand… I had to make use of it for this week’s 3D! Introducing… Lego Bomerman! Though a simple idea, it was surprisingly hard on my computer —- if I do further lego work, I’ll probably abuse bump mapping to construct the terrain rather than building it brick-by-array-repeated-brick.
Lego minifigs! I started modelling one at the request of a friend from work, but seeing as I don’t have all the specifications of his request done(or even down)… I decided to play around with nodes.
This is the result —- well, one of them. I did have quite a bit of fun with the wireframe node… and have been playing around with less-costly glass rendering… but nothing wallpaper quality yet.
Just upgraded Belle’s model a little, specifically using Zero (DDR)’s head as a basis, and wanted to render her. Fortunately, no bones or technology were broken to make this render. (Though, my laptop and its slow harddrive/paging file screamed whenever I tried doing minor touchups…)
Still lots of improvements to make… For instance, Zero used a lot more shrinkwrapping to get the clothing to fit better —- which reduces the amount of post-production work required with posing.
